Stralsund Museum

The oldest museum in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the Hanseatic City of Stralsund is home to a unique Viking Gold Treasure. The treasure consists of 16 pieces of jewelry made of pure gold, an excellent example of Viking goldsmithery, attributed to the Viking King Harald Bluetooth Gormsson.
Since December 2015 the treasures are displayed as part of the Museum’s permanent collection. The whole exhibition space in the ground floor was designed by architectural firm, specialised in exhibition design. The pictures tell about the magic atmosphere created by the award winning creatives who have developed a totally new exhibition concept that emphasizes the mystery around the Viking Gold.
