IAA motorshow – BMW exhibition booth

Montag, 02. Oktober 2017

“This is tomorrow. Now.” Following this guiding principle, the BMW Group’s exhibition at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) from 14 to 24 September showcases an unprecedented spectrum of topics, from BMW i and the latest products for the luxury segment, to BMW M, MINI and BMW Motorrad, as well as the latest developments from the world of mobility services.

The 10,500 m² booth in Hall 11 with its very dynamic architecture comprises highly emotive topic zones, generous aisles, extensive vistas and highlight spots. Details shown in the crisp photographs shot by Ken Schluchtmann around the Vision Loop, the core event area of the BMW booth, comprising 550 seats surrounded by a 150-metre circular track. All in the spirit of the mission of the BMW Group: redefining mobility and challenging the status quo.

IAA motorshow – MINI exhibition booth

Samstag, 30. September 2017

More a street festival than an exhibition booth. The MINI brand’s presence at the IAA 2017 was an invitation to the visitors to immerse themselves in an urban setting with industrial-style architecture. The five MINI models (MINI three-door, MINI five-door, MINI Convertible, MINI Clubman and MINI Countryman) have been arranged in different “mood boards” all focussed on urban living. The highlights have been the smoothie kiosk with a street food festival feeling offering healthy drinks and there was also a real barbershop where male visitors could get a 30-minute styling and grooming session.

IAA motorshow – Opel exhibition booth

Mittwoch, 27. September 2017

090602_15_31_36

At IAA 2017 the agency VITAMIN E (Hamburg) has proposed an artistic and lively interpretation of the theme „urbanity meets adventure“ with its new Opel stand.
As with their first appearance for Opel at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, VITAMIN E’s goal was to turn the classic motor show into a brand owned platform with a friendly, authentic and very close brand experience that gives visitors the opportunity to experience the Opel brand in a special way.
In Frankfurt on a total of 3,300 square metres, the experts realised a collage-like urban setting for spatial communication, combining modern façade elements in concrete look with classical architecture and vertical gardens. Always in the spotlight: The world premiere of the new Opel SUV „Grandland X“ embedded in X-Ville, an installation offering far more than just a platform for the new innovative compact SUV.

Grand Basel, exceptional automobiles in the cultural context of design, architecture and art

Donnerstag, 07. September 2017

090602_15_31_36

There is a new global salon for the world’s most important and valuable automobiles: Grand Basel, launched by the world leading live marketing company MCH Group, headquartered in Basel/Switzerland. For this new challenge, Berlin-based design agency BlueScope has designed an exclusive setting based on a contemporary design language in contrast to the often nostalgic ambience of established car events.

The ideal context for an exclusive shooting by Ken Schluchtmann. Between cars and amazing interior design he shares this sneak peak of the avant premiere in Basel as launch event for the fair to be held in September 2018, first in Basel, then in Miami and in Hong Kong.

Ken Schluchtmann has portrayed the four automobiles presented in the two modules. “Ideals in transition” with Giorgetto Giugiaro, Bertone Corvair Testudo, 1962/3, and Rem D. Koolhaas, Lo Res Car, 2017, while “Dimensions of urbanity” was dedicated to Avions Voisin, C25 Aérodyne, 1935, and Iso Rivolta Vision Gran Turismo, 2017, by Andrea Zagato.
A fresh glimpse on a totally new concept of car presentation where the automobiles are exhibited in a museum-like scenario with an absolute

Salon international de’l automobile Genève, Techrules

Freitag, 18. März 2016

090602_15_31_36

The engineering company Techrules from Bejing has presented two concept cars with a compeletly new type of engine at the Geneva Auto Show: 1030bhp Turbine-Recharged Electric Vehicles (TREV) AT96 and GT96 with one of the most unusal drivetrain concepts and a theoretical top speed of 217mph all in carbonfibre.

Such unique supercars needed an extraordinary booth, designed by creative agency Blue Scope with offices in Berlin, Shanghai and Hong Kong. White Corian creates the right backdrop to underline the characteristics of the two cars in exhibition. The booth’s arc with the fins alludes to the turbines underlining the importance of the microturbines used to keep its batteries charged, which in turn power an electric drive motor.
